Anika Rose is an American singer and actress. Her most well-known character is Tiana the first Disney African American Princess. She was named as a Disney Legend in 2011. Rose appeared as Lorrell Robertson, the character in Dreamgirls, which won the Academy Award. Anika Rose was born June 6 in 1973. Rose is an American singer and actress. Her most notable role is in the role of Tiana the Disney's first African American princess from The Princess and the Frog (2009). The Disney Company named her a Legend in 2011. Her name was also honoured by her part on the screen in Dreamgirls (2006), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. On the Starz show Power she played LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. Her performance in the theater are well-known as well, especially her role in the role of Emmie Thbodeaux in The Broadway production of the musical Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Featured actress in a Musical. She was also nominated for her nomination for Tony Award Best Featured actor in a production of the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun.
